Rosewood Biedermeier Vienna Regulator. 7 in. inset porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, fancy hands and gilt brass piecrust bezel; brass weight driven movement with spring driven grande sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs, movement runs 56 hours and is signed on the gong bracket “M. Miller & Son, In Wien”, circa 1865. In a rosewood Vienna regulator case with serpentine top, chamfered corners on the door with carved corner mounts, pierced brass mounts on the front and on the bracket. Case is refinished, missing crest and pendent corner mounts at the top and bottom of the door frame and also the teardrop finial. 37 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
