Rare Torsion Pendulum Mystery Clock, sculpture by Auguste Moreau, circa 1890
Patinaed metal figure of Nebuleuse by August Moreau on a roux marble base supports the Torsion Pendulum. The rear view shows the suspension assembly which passes down through the tube.

This remarkable, large, figural clock depicts a cherub with girl atop a column hung with laurels. Sculpted by Auguste Moreau and with a Japy Freres Honneur clock movement, this spelter cased clock has the appearance of bronze. Measures 27 1/2"H X 12"W. The bezel and pendulum is missing and the children are loose on the base. There is some corrosion. See Photos. Starts up but does not keep proper time over an extended period of time.

Rare Diana Conical Pendulum Mystery Clock. Standing bronze figure of Diana the Huntress, she is wearing a robe and holds a bow with a quiver of arrows at her left side, in her right hand she holds the pendulum. Hanging from 3 chains, under a large 4 spring suspension cluster is a cobalt sphere; containing the spring driven movement with a conical platform at the top, teardrop acorn bob hangs in the center and the dial of the sphere and has applied brass Roman hour numerals. The spring inside the movement drives the mystery escapement at the top as the conical bob hanging in the center swings around clockwise, has an hour and half hour bell strike. A very rare and unusual clock in very good working condition. 27.5 in. high.

Rare French Conical Pendulum Mystery Clock, in the form of a Weaver
Bernoux of Paris, circa 1875. Black marble, bronze statue is after culptor, Auguste Nadaud. 8-day movement with an hour and half-hour bell strike and a unique filitrice pinwheel detent escapement. The movement signed Bernoux, Paris, Brevete.
