French Rare and Unusual Large Gilt Bronze Skeleton Clock, Circa 1840, 4 1/2″ enamel dial, 30-day, heavy brass double fusee movement, very unusual large skeleton clock, in English style, large gilt bronze case, columns that support the movement have engraved decorative elements, a very similar clock with the signature of C. Detouche a Paris, who was a well-known instructional clock maker in France, is pictured in the book “Skeleton Clocks” by F.B. Royer-Collard, pages 85-86, excellent condition overall, beat plate indicator replacement, dome and base probably not original to this clock. Height 21″ (including dome).
French Vincenti & Co. Rare Art Nouveau Bronze Mantle Clock, Circa 1910, 8″ spun brass finish dial has wear, 8-day, brass bell strike movement, Art Nouveau tiffany style patinated bronze with ivy vine relief work, a beautiful and rare clock, excellent condition case, dial has normal wear. Height 13 1/2″. Very fine quality throughout the well tooled bronze case. One would think a clock of this superior quality would have been signed by the maker. The original Verdigris patina remains and this clock is about a sweet as you will ever see.

Rare French Automaton Car Clock by Guilmet. C. 1907. Brass body; folded silk window coverings; automated wheels on steel spoked rims, driven by a chain. On the driver’s side door, there is a clock with a porcelain dial and an Aneroid barometer below the clock. A Fahrenheit thermometer is on the passenger door. Ht. 8 1/2″ W 16″ D 6″ .
