Circa 1880s Gilbert Excelsior Wall Clock. Showcasing an exquisite hand carved detailed wooden case which perfectly accents the roman numeral dial. Approximately 50" x 18" x 7". Excellent overall condition; See Photos. Starts up but does not keep proper time over an extended period of time.

Large mystery swinger clock, titled “Excelsior,” having a spelter robed male figure holding a mallet in his right hand and the clock support above his head in his left hand. The pendulum rod is broken but the parts are present. Dimensions: 42 in. high x 15 in. wide x 11 in. deep. Weight: 40.45 lbs.

Top finial plate is complete but loose and missing the top finial. The dial has some marks present. Approximately 22' x 10" x 5 1/2". See Photos. Ansonia Excelsior Crystal Regulator: 8 day time with half hour gong striking movement. The 5 1/2″ dial has a visible escapement. The 4 beveled glass sides look all original. The case is polished brass with nickel plated feet and adornments. With matching No.1110 candelabras.

(The strike goes continuously when activated. A bit of polish and the case will shine.)
