Quality Swiss Hour Repeater Carriage Clock w/ Alarm. 2 in. filigree engraved silvered dial with black incised hour numerals and fancy hands, sub alarm dial below; quality brass spring driven movement with platform lever escapement, half hour strike mechanism on a blued coiled gong and hour repeater button on the top, the alarm is driven by a separate spring with a second hammer pairing to the single coiled gong. In a heavy gilt brass case with filigree turned handle, fluted corner columns, beveled glasses on the front, sides, rear door and exposing the escapement on the top, 2 tone with copper frame around the front glass, lower mount and decorated apron below. In good running condition, dial is very clean, strike, alarm and repeater mechanisms are running, case finish is beautiful, has a small hairline in the lower corner of the right side glass. 8.25 in. high x 4.25 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

Caldwell & Co.Â black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and sub alarm dial below; brass 8 day spring driven movement has a half hour strike on a blued coiled gong, separate hammer for alarm strike, hour repeater button on top of the case and a platform lever escapement, movement signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co., PhiadelphiaÂ & ÂDuverdrey & Bloquel, France, (12) Twelve JewelsÂ. In beautiful condition, running and striking. 5.5 in. high x 3.75 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.

The brass case has a fancy handle with reeded columns on the corners and beveled glass on the side and top exposing the escapement. Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals, red 5 minute numbers and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, in good running condition, though the alarm spring is broken, alarm is not working. 8 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

The brass case has a handle on top, all over engraved design and beveled glass on the front, back, sides and top exposing the escapement. Movement stamped with Chinese markings on the back, case has a worn finish and the time spring is broken. 6 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.
