Canadian. 1910s. Walnut. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement. Strikes on a helical gong and bell. Early paper on reverse. Dial marked, "The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Berlin, Canada" lower edge. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. Dial signed, “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Berlin, Canada” on lower edge. Movement stamped, “Pequegnat Clock Co Berlin, Ont.”. A partial paper label is attached to the lower back quarter marked, “Stratford Mantel Clock”. 7.25″ x 17″ x 11.5″. Quarter sawn oak case retains the original finish with light, uniform craze. The dial exhibits a few very minor flakes. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

Rare. Dial signed, “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Berlin, Canada”. Full reproduction paper label is affixed to centre rear door, marked, “Galt Mantel Clock Made By The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Canada”. A paper seal is affixed to the paper label sold by “J. Pequegnat & Sons Jewellers Guelph, Ontario.”. 7.5″ x 15″ x 10.75″. Quarter cut oak case has its original finish. The painted metal dial has minor scratches in the lower quarter at the 4 and 8. Mechanism complete with pendulum assembly and winding key.

Movement is signed, “Pequegnat Clock Co Berlin, Ont”. Full paper label attached to the rear lower quarter, marked “Milton Mantel Clock Made By The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Canada”. 6″ x 10.5″ x 14.5″. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

Full paper label attached to the interior base marked, “Mantel Clock Oxford Made By The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Canada.” A number has been engraved on the lower left quarter of the movement. 5.5″ x 17.5″ x 10.75″. Refinished. Dial exhibits minor porcelain loss surrounding the right winding hole. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

Canadian. 1900s. Oak, painted black to resemble marble. Rare. A few earlier examples of Pequegnat mantle clocks are found factory finished in green or black paint. This was an attempt to simulate then-popular French slate and marble mantle clocks. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement. Strikes on a helical gong and bell. Dial stamped. Dial marked, "The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Berlin, Canada" lower edge. Original finish. Some losses to the surface, especially near the leftmost half column. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 11.25"H X 16"W X 7"D.
