Paulus Bramer Dutch Tall Case Clock. c.1757. Clock has an 11 in. silvered dial signed “Paulus Bramer, Amsterdam”, arched moon phase at the top, sub seconds dial with open date indicator in the center and days of the week displayed in the aperture below; brass weight driven movement strikes the hour and half hour, one on a high toned bell and the other on a low toned bell, long steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob and 2 brass covered weights with brass pulleys. In a tall walnut floor standing case with spun brass finials on the bonnet top with pierced carved panels over red cloth, turned columns on the corners and burled walnut thought the body and base of the case. In excellent running condition with a cleaned and enhanced original finish. 103 in. high x 24 in. wide x 14 in. deep.
