Parkinson & Frodsham Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has an 11 in. silvered chapter ring with incised black Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands, sub seconds dial, levers for silent-chime & 8 bell Westminster sub dials in the arch with pierced brass spandrels; dial signed on silvered plaque – Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London. Quality, weight driven, brass movement has deadbeat escapement; quarter hour strikes Westminster on 5 coiled gongs or it chimes on 8 steel bells, 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. In a mahogany case with arched top bonnet having gilt brass pineapple finials, brass columns and beveled door glass; the body & base have turned & reeded quarter columns with applied brass embellishments. In beautiful condition and original finish. 93 in. high x 18 in. wide x 12 in. deep.
