Brass dial has an 11 in. silvered chapter ring with incised black Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands, sub seconds dial, levers for silent-chime & 8 bell Westminster sub dials in the arch with pierced brass spandrels; dial signed on silvered plaque Â Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London. Quality, weight driven, brass movement has deadbeat escapement; quarter hour strikes Westminster on 5 coiled gongs or it chimes on 8 steel bells, 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. In a mahogany case with arched top bonnet having gilt brass pineapple finials, brass columns and beveled door glass; the body & base have turned & reeded quarter columns with applied brass embellishments. In beautiful condition and original finish. 93 in. high x 18 in. wide x 12 in. deep.

Hershchede Pattern 50 Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12 in. silvered dial signed ÂThe Frank Herschede Co., CincinnatiÂ with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington chimes, brass back plate with fancy pierced gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels and pierced hands; brass weight driven movement marked ÂGermanyÂ has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and has 9 silvered tubes signed ÂHerschede Hall Clock, Cincinnati, O, Crown Symphony TubeÂ. In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.
