US”, 8-day, brass spring driven movement, rare and collectible candlestick beehive clock made with high quality walnut veneer, not perfect but nice, good restored condition, with correct replaced glass, replaced lower wood support for the original movement, partial label. Circa 1845. 6 in. original painted metal dial, blued spade & pointer hands, with Kirk’s patent repeating brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂBrewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, CT, USAÂ has an hour countwheel strike on a coiled gong & a brass covered pendulum bob. In a rosewood Gothic steeple onion top case with 4 turned spire finials and columns, reverse painted scenic tablet; signed on a paper label ÂPatent Spring Eight Day Repeating Brass Clock, made and sold by Brewster & Ingrahams, Bristol, Conn.Â. Case is in nice condition with an enhanced original finish, minor veneer loss and chip to crest point, running, dial has a lacquered overcoat on original paint; old glass is not original to the case. 19.75 in. high x 11.75 in. wide x 4 in. deep. Weight: 9.5 lbs.
