Movement is contained in a brass tub mounted on a saddle on the top of the spelter lionÂs back, has an eagle finial and mounted on a kidney shaped walnut base; the back cover of the case has a round hand painted panel with scene of a young woman standing in a field, the reverse of the panel has a second painting depicting an erotic scene of a the woman nude in the bushes and accompanied by a man.
