Oak Horner Grandfather Clock. Dial has an 11 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass Roman hour numerals, silvered sub seconds dial and fancy engraved brass back plate, has an arched silvered moon phase dial with painted dish signed Walter H. Durfee Providence, RI. Quality, brass, weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and strikes on 9 tubes signed Walter H. Durfee & Company; 3 quality brass weights & pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. Carved oak case has a arched pediment crest with leaf and griffin carvings and serpentine sides on the bonnet, has a serpentine body with leaf, scroll and griffin carvings, beveled door glass and a bulbous base with figural putti and claw feet. In very good condition, original finish; movement is running. 106 in. high x 24 in. wide x 17 in. deep
