Boston; blued open moon hands (tarnished), brass weight driven movement is signed E. Howard & Co, Boston 10, SN 0025 over 12-75, has recoil escapement. Steel pendulum stick, brass bob and lock down hardware on black painted weight baffle with black painted iron weight. Figure 8 walnut case in original finish with no noted losses, reverse painted red, black and gold leaf throat & door glasses. Has original plaque to the purchaser signed by Dana Blackwell June 2, 1976; 33.5 in. high

Beals, 16 Hanover St., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and original blued diamond hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven time only movement, unsigned, has a brass pulley, iron banjo style weight and long gilt painted wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob. Rosewood grained case has a flanged hinged upper and lower door bezel with original reverse black & gilt painted throat glass and replaced lower tablet. Clock is in nice condition with a good original finish, pendulum has a broken suspension spring. 33 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
