Figural 9 Tube Colonal Grandfather Clock. Large brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington/Wynchester chimes, fancy pierced gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels, pierced hands, dial stamped Colonial Mfg. Co.; brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys, steel pendulum rod with 3 cut glass jar compensating mercurial pendulum bob and 9 silvered tubes, movement is signed on the back plate ÂColonial Mfg. Co.Â, mark for ÂWinterhalder and patent number ÂD.R.P. No. 408845Â. In a carved walnut case with maidens head on the crest, standing figures on the corners of the bonnet, gadrooned sash below; the body of the case has figural carved maidens on the corners over scroll and leaf carved pilasters, figural winged griffins carved on the base and stands on claw feet; case has an enhanced original finish and is numbered on the back 1278. Measures 98 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Carved Oak Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, sub seconds dial and moon phase dial, fancy pierced swirling leaf decoration in the center of the dial and spandrels, has fancy pierced black hour and minute hands, sub seconds dial, Chime/Silent lever and singed ÂCamerden & Foster, New York on a silvered plaque. Quality brass movement strikes on 5 blued coiled gongs, has 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick and signed ÂJ.J. Elliot, EnglandÂ. In an oak case with high arched crest having fancy carved designs with ribbons and wreaths, turned finials at the top and the bonnet has 2 turned columns on either side of the door; the body has leaf carving at the shoulder, spiral turned columns, beveled door glass and fancy carved base on claw feet. In very good condition and original finish. 98.5 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 13 in. deep.

Carved Oak Grandfather Clock. 12.5″ silvered dial signed by the retailer “H. Terheyden, Pittsburgh, PA” has applied gilt brass hour numbers, sub seconds, pierced blued hands, fancy engraved center, applied gilt brass filigree corner spandrels and moon phase at the top; brass 8 day weight driven movement is stamped “Elite” on a brass tag, has a deadbeat escapement, retaining power, solid brass pulleys with brass covered weights, steel pendulum stick with brass covered bob, hour strike on a cathedral gong and quarter hour progressive Westminster strike on 4 coiled gongs. In a quartersawn oak case with scrolled crest centered with a seashell and turned and fluted corner columns on the bonnet, the case body has a beveled glass door with fluted corner columns, filigree decorated inset panel in the base and stands on claw feet. In good overall condition, case has a cleaned and enhanced original finish. 94.5″ high x 24″ wide x 16.75″ deep.

Carved Oak 3 Wt. 8 Bell Musical Grandfather Clock: There are 8 cup bells with 2 large gongs for Whittington and Westminster Chimes. With anchor escapement, No. 915, and sinew cords for weight suspension. The dial has a plain center and moon phase. The heavily carved case is made of dark stained oak. The figure on it may be associated with the Knights of Templar in some way. The panel near the bottom front has the face of the sun in it.
Not tested.
(The lower panel has a split in it.)
