French Japy Freres Bronze Neo-Classical Tiled Mantle Clock, Circa 1880, 3 1/2″ dial is hand painted cobalt blue tile, signed “J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia”, 8-day, circular brass movement, well executed French bronze mantle clock with hand painted cobalt blue neoclassical scrollwork tile inserts with illegible signature on rear, a very handsome & well made clock, suitable for a formal setting, small tile on clock top cracked, otherwise excellent condition with good patina. Height 14 1/2″.

Title: Antique Neo-Classical British French Medusa Head Pendulum Mantel Clock
Description: Up for auction is a very interesting antique mantel clock. This clock incorporates neo-classical stylings, along with a super cool pendulum featuring the head of Medusa. The clock features an hourly chime function. Both the mainspring and the chime wind with the included key. We are unsure of the manufacturer of this clock, as there are very few markings on it. The clock does run, but we do not know the full service history.
