Monumental Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. Quality signed Elliot, London movement has brass dial with fancy gilt pierced filigree in the center and spandrels, has a 12 in. silvered dial with applied brass Arabic hour numbers, fancy blued pierced hands, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase, Silent-Chime and Whittington-Westminster dials. Quality brass, weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, stamped on the back H&H in a rectangle (Harris & Harrington) and stamped J.J. Elliot, London in an oval, numbered 5449; large brass cylinder attached to the movement plays Westminster and Whittington on 9 silvered tubes signed, Harris & Harrington, 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, quality brass pendulum bob with steel stick. The massive mahogany case has fluted turned columns on the bonnet with a large carved crest with leaf scrolls and flame finial centered over a lions head; the body has more turned columns over corbelled corners and fancy carvings.
