Miniature Drum Head Regulator Mantle Clock. 4 in. silvered dial with black painted Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, blued spade hands, hinged brass door bezel with convex and beveled crystal; round brass time only 8 day single fusee spring driven movement signed “Flampson Jun’r, 6 Percival Street, London” has a good fusee chain, brass pendulum bob with steel stick, in good running condition. In a rosewood drum head style mantle clock case with turned finial on a stepped plinth and carved base with blocked front having raised panels on the body and base; in good condition and original finish, missing one raised panel on the side and 3 pieces of trim. 15.5 in. high x 6.25 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

E. Howard No. 25 Drum Head Astronomical Regulator. 14 in. silvered bronze astronomical dial signed “E. Howard & Co. Makers, Boston, Patented May 11th, 1858”, black incised 5 minute numbers on the chapter ring with 4.5 in. sub hour dial over a 4.5 in. open center sub seconds dial which exposes the escapement. Has a quality brass, 90 day, weight driven time only astronomical movement with knee action deadbeat escapement having jeweled pallets, maintaining power and dust covers encasing the movement; has exposed barrels in the back of the movement from which the 2 flat iron weights hang behind the weight baffle on solid brass pulleys, 4 glass jar mercury pendulum has a silvered rod with gilt bronze acorn finials. In an original walnut case with round “drum head” top, arched front door with original glass exposing the pendulum and beat indicator. In excellent condition and with a slightly enhanced original finish, original silvering on the dial has wear, missing one dust cover screw. 79 in. high x 21 in. wide x 12.5 in. deep.
