Joseph Ives mahogany scroll top looking glass clock, Bristol, Conn., c. 1818. Beautiful complete clock with 3 urn finials, full length door with 2 reverse painted tablets, painted Roman numeral dial with teardrop blued-steel hands flanked by bird’s-eye maple corbels, reeded flat columns flank the looking glass over the lower reverse-painting on glass, the blue sponge-painted interior, eight-day clock. Beautiful, rare, Joseph Ives clock! Measures approx. 54″ tall x 20″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep.
