Mayer Animated Dog Desk Clock. The cast spelter case resembles a woven basket with 3 small puppies poking their heads from the top, they have beaded eyes, (4 missing) and their red tongues rock back and forth in unison in a panting motion with the swinging of the pendulum; the basket is supported by 2 figural standing jesters with a gilt finish, case front has a 1.5 in. porcelain time dial and a convex reverse painted glass inset with a portrait of a dog, brass spring driven movement is signed ÂMayerÂ, in good running condition. 7 in. high x 7 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

Ornate 19th century clock, 23″ high and 15″ wide, wonderful cast metal figures of hunter with rifle, along with his dogs on each side. Very nice detail and design. Missing one finial and has general wear. Untested. Very Good-Excellent
