Massive English 8 Bell Bracket Clock w/Cherub: all metal with painted cartouche numerals; ornate case with garlands, acorns, scrolls and a full figure winged cherub; movement signed Barrie, Edinburgh (1840-1907); silverplate case stamped with English Registry mark dated Aug. 20, 1883.

Pierced painted black hands, silvered 7″ chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic 5 minute markers, pierced gilt brass floral spandrels; silvered sub dials for Chime/Silent and Westminster/Chime on 8 Bells. High quality brass double fusee movement, 8 silvered bells, good chains, quality brass pendulum and rod, coiled quarter hour cathedral gong. In an ebonized case with fancy gilt bronze finials, feet, embellishments and door with beveled glass; in very good condition, running and striking, nice original finish. 29 in. high x 16 in. wide x 10.5 in. deep.
