Brass Quarter Hour Repeater Carriage Clock. 2.25″ porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and sub alarm dial; brass 8 day spring driven movement has a platform cylinder escapement, quarter hour strike on 2 coiled gongs with repeater and sub alarm strike. In a gilt brass case with fluted corner columns, arched beveled front glass, beveled glass on the sides and top, viewing the escapement, hinged handle and German inscriptions on back for speed regulator and alarm wind. Running and striking (strike needs adjustment), alarm not functioning, has key. 5″ high x 3.75″ wide x 2.75″ deep. Weight: 2.75 lbs.

Bronze case has an archer top with curved and beveled viewing glass in the top, hinged handle, repeater-alarm button sits flush on the top of the arch, figural maiden pilasters on the corners and beveled glass on the sides and back. Porcelain dial has a 2 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, alarm dial below, open moon hands and signed Gillett & Johnston, Croydon. Quality spring driven French brass movement signed Soldano, has a platform lever escapement with good balance wheel, blued coiled gong for half hour strike and alarm, has a 1 hour repeater mechanism. Clock is in good condition with no breaks or repairs, time, alarm and repeater mechanisms are all in good working condition. 8 in. high x 4.25 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals, red 5 minute numbers and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, in good running condition, though the alarm spring is broken, alarm is not working. 8 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

The brass case has a fancy handle with turned finials over turned half columns on the beveled corners and beveled glass on the side and top exposing the escapement. French brass spring driven movement signed “Dent, France 1474” has a platform lever escapement, half hour bell strike with hour repeater button on top of the case and has an alarm mechanism. In a fine gilt bronze case with pierced decorated filigree, hinged handle, winged maiden’s heads and claw feet; beveled glass panels on the front, back and sides, exposing the escapement through the glass top. In good overall condition, runs, strikes, alarm is not working. 7 in. high x 4.75 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 5.75 lbs.

This is a beautifully represented nine tube triple-chime grandfather clock. The brass works with moon phase and is housed in a mahogany wood clock case with an open arch, reed columns, stunning carved pinecone and rosette décor accents, carved claw feet and a beveled glass door complementing its design. One of the most distinctive features is the seascape eight day moon phase dial. The brass finished, circular polished hour track has raised Arabic numerals. It is further enhanced by the milled and nicely etched brass center disc and corner ornaments. Engraved on the disk: "Silent Chime; Silent Hour Str; and Westm. – Trin. – N Dame". This grandfather clock stands approximately 8' tall to the highest point. The clock case is in very good condition, with minor age related wear due to previous use, some scratches and chipping to the wood and a loose door nub on the top portion of the clock, otherwise in good condition.
