John Gartly Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Silvered brass, round 13 in. dial with black incised Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands (minute hand repaired), 3.5 in. sub seconds and calendar dials; brass, weight driven movement with deadbeat escapement and bell at the top of the movement, has 2 iron weights with brass pulleys. Dial signed John Gartly, Aberdene. In a mahogany case with arched top bonnet having brass eagle finials on pillars, inlaid borders, round side glasses and round door glass with brass bezels; the body of the case has turned & inlaid quarter columns with inlaid borders on the door and base. In good condition, 2 side glasses are broken and missing seconds hand. 85 in. high x 20 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

John Bailey Mahogany Dwarf Floor Clock. Silvered arched plate signed ÂJohn Bailey, Hanover with 6 in. dial having black incised Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers outside, filigree corner spandrels and open moon hands; pierced brass 8 day weight driven movement with hour strike on a bell; movement is unsigned. In a mahogany case with pierced carved crest, turned brass finial, turned side columns on the bonnet with bone mounts. Good condition and original finish, movement is running but not striking, some minor repair to the crest. 46.5 in. high x 11 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Brass dial has 10 in. chapter ring with black incised Roman hour numerals and Arabic 5 minute markers, signed John Wood, Philadelphia, sub seconds dial and 31 day sub calendar dial, has gilt pierced spandrels, moon phase dial and fancy pierced hands (repainted); quality brass, weight driven movement has drop hammer strike, iron weights, brass pulley, brass covered pendulum bob stamped V.R. Moyer with steel stick (no suspension spring). In a mahogany case, bonnet has broken arch crest with rosettes and flame finials, turned columns, large one board door having nice grain. 94 in. high

London, 18th century, three-bell chime with figural movement strikers, painted upper panel with castle, engraved steel face with Roman numerals, second dial, calendar dial, the hood with upper pierced brass panel, brass finials, hinged tombstone door flanked by stop fluted columns, side windows, tombstone waist door with applied molded edge, molded base on short block feet, with three weights, pendulum, case key.
95.5 x 19 x 9.5 in.
Accompanied by an old typed card catalog of this clock stating it was purchased by ? Winthrop Parker of New York City from J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia.
