Carved Mahogany 9 Tube Triple Fusee Lg. Bracket Clock. Arched brass dial has a 6 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, sub dials for beat regulator, Chime/Silent & Chime on 4 Tubes/Chime on 8 Tubes and decorated with engraved gilt and pierced brass filigree. Quality brass triple fusee spring driven movement by Winterhalder & Hofmeier, signed W&H Sch. Germany and numbered “1”, has 8 hanging tubes in the case striking either a progressive Westminster (on 4) or Whittington (on 8) and striking the hour on the ninth tube. In a carved mahogany case with scrolling crest over a fish scale carved dome, lions heads, filigree and a mythical face on the frieze; the corner pilasters are carved with lions heads over scrolled leaf and hanging fruit with beveled glass in the front door and leaf & berry carving around the door frame. Case has a cleaned & enhanced original finish and is in good overall condition with minor losses to the trim work at the top, movement is in running condition and striking, pendulum bob is missing its brass cover. 27 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 11.5 in. deep.
