Mahogany 9 Tube 3 Weight Grandfather Clock. 12″ silvered dial signed “Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia” has applied gilt brass hour numbers, pierced filigree hands, fancy gilt pierced and engraved filigree center and corner spandrels, moon phase, silvered sub seconds and sub dials for “Silent-Strike” and “Whittington-Westminster”; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed “Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia & London” has a Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, solid brass pulleys with brass covered weights, steel pendulum stick with brass covered bob and 9 tubes with progressive quarter hour strike on 8 and hour strike on 1, silvered tubes are signed “Tubular Bells Pat. Nov. 8, 1887, Walter H. Durfee, Prov. RI”. In a carved mahogany case has a filigree carved crest centered with a turned torch finial over a large seashell and serpentine filigree carved corbeled sides; base and body have a serpentine form with filigree carving, beveled glasses and a north wind face centered in the bottom panel. Original finish, repair to front corner of the cornice below the bonnet, repaired crest arms; movement missing 1 strike arm lever and 1 repaired. 107″ high x 27″ wide x 17″ deep.

Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, levers for Chime/Silent & Strike/Silent, etched gilt and pierced brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels with moon phase dial at the top, brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, 3 brass pulleys, brass covered weights and brass covered pendulum, bob with steel stick, movement signed “Elite” and numbered “83416”. In a mahogany case with pyramidal top having fern & scroll carved crest and corner mounts, medallion and filigree carved frieze, double corner columns on the bonnet; the body has smooth turned corner columns with carved capitols, beveled glass on the oval door panel, carved base panel and claw feet. Nice original finish. 99 in. high x 28 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Has blued pierced hands, silvered chapter ring w/ applied brass Arabic numbers, sub seconds dial, and chime/silent & Westminster/Whittington sub dials, pierced swirling filigree in the center & spandrels with moon phase dial of a painted sea shore scene & sailing ship, signed with Herschedes Trade Mark; quality brass, weight driven movement, has Graham deadbeat escapement, 3 quality weights & pulleys, long brass pendulum with brass bob & steel stick, 9 tubes. In an elaborate carved mahogany case with swirling filigree & cornucopias of fruit with a center urn & flame finial on the crest, carved pilasters on the bonnet with beveled door glass; the body of the case has figural carved mountain men on the corners, holding a sash at their waste, over mythical faces, hanging fruits and inverted corbel supports below, the door and side glasses have filigree and medallion carved overlays with carved trim work. In good overall condition, case has minor wear to the crest, movement is in good running condition; 4 tubes have cracks at the ends. 106 in. high x 28 in. wide x 17 in. wide.

The carved mahogany case has an arched bonnet top with spherical finials, carved crown, shield & filigree at the top & turned side columns. The body of the case has a gadrooned edge, beehive shaped door with beveled glass, turned torch & flame carved side columns; stands on large winged claw feet, carved ribbon & double torch on the front panel of the base. Case is in good original finish, has an old repair to one finial at the stem; movement is unsigned, strike mechanism runs but needs adjustment as it does not stop after the chime is completed. 106 high x 30 in. wide x 20 in. deep.

In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Large brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Eight Bells, fancy gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels signed “Elliot, London”; pierced hands and brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and 9 silvered tubes signed “Harris & Harrington”, movement is signed on the back plate “J.J. Elliot, London” & “H & H”, with matching number on the seat board 5097. In an excellent mahogany case with broken arched pediment crest having turned finials (center finial has a broken tip), filigree carving and rosettes with long carved triple columns on the bonnet corners; the case has oval shaped beveled glass on the front door and beveled glasses on the sides with turned corner columns, carved shell on the front panels and stands on carved claw feet. Case is in very good condition, has an enhanced oroginal finish. 104 in. high x 29 in. wide x 19 in. deep.
