Eight day grandfather clock has a 12 in. silvered dial with applied gilt brass hour numbers, pierced blued hands, brass back plate with pierced decorated filigree corner spandrels, sub seconds dial and moon phase dial; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement is unsigned, has Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, half hour strike on a coiled gong, solid brass pulleys with brass covered weights and an ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob. In a mahogany case with turned finials and turned corner columns on the bonnet, beveled door glass in the body with long turned corner columns and stands on claw feet. Excellent overall condition and original finish, has a repair to the center finial, numbered behind the bonnet "564." Measures 93 in. high x 26 in. wide x 16.5 in. deep.

Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with engraved decoration, applied gilt brass hour numbers, gilt pierced brass filigree center and corner spandrels, sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch and scenic painted moon phase disc; levers for Silent/Hour Strike, Silent/Strike & Westminster/Trinity/Whittington. Quality brass weight driven 8 day movement with the trademark for Bawo and Dotter of New York City; has a recoil escapement, maintaining power, quality brass weights and pulleys. In a carved mahogany case with arched crest, filigree carved with 2 winged griffins, turned side columns and full standing figures of Chronos “Father Time”; the body has large figural maidens busts on the corners with beveled glasses on the door and sides, the base has full standing winged griffins on the corners with filigree and a center carved medallion with a scene of a sailing ship, stands on scrolled feet. In good original condition and original finish. 107 in. high x 28 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Hershchede Pattern 50 Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12 in. silvered dial signed “The Frank Herschede Co., Cincinnati” with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington chimes, brass back plate with fancy pierced gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels and pierced hands; brass weight driven movement marked “Germany” has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and has 9 silvered tubes signed “Herschede Hall Clock, Cincinnati, O, Crown Symphony Tube”. In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with pyramidal top having fern & scroll carved crest and corner mounts, medallion and filigree carved frieze, double corner columns on the bonnet; the body has smooth turned corner columns with carved capitols, beveled glass on the oval door panel, carved base panel and claw feet. Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12″ silvered dial signed “Bigelow, Kennard & Co., Boston” with applied gilt brass hour numbers, sub seconds, pierced filigree hand, moon phase, pierced and engraved gilt brass filigree center and corner spandrels and has levers for “Silent-Strike” and “Strike on 4 gongs, strike on 8 gongs”. The brass 8 day weight driven movement is signed on the front plate “Bigelow Kennard & Co., Boston, USA” and on the rear plate “Made in England, 330” and “Patented March 6, 1902, No. 699303”; has a Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power and 9 silvered tubes with progressive quarter hour strike on 8 and hour strike on 1, long steel pendulum stick with brass covered bob and solid brass pulleys. In a mahogany case with architectural top having applied filigree, large turned and fluted columns and block-form base with filigree borders around inset panels; has beveled glass sides and lower door, brass plaque on the reverse of the lower door is inscribed “presented to Walter S. Glidden, by his friends and associates in business on the 25th anniversary of his connection with the firm of N.E. Hollis & Company, 1881-1906”. Case is in original finish, has some dings and chipping and some loss to the applied filigree; missing weights, missing lever pin for the gong selector, movement is dirty and needs cleaning. 100.5″ high x 27.5″ wide x 22.5″ deep.

Mahogany 9 Tube 3 Weight Grandfather Clock. 12″ silvered dial signed “Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia” has applied gilt brass hour numbers, pierced filigree hands, fancy gilt pierced and engraved filigree center and corner spandrels, moon phase, silvered sub seconds and sub dials for “Silent-Strike” and “Whittington-Westminster”; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed “Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia & London” has a Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, solid brass pulleys with brass covered weights, steel pendulum stick with brass covered bob and 9 tubes with progressive quarter hour strike on 8 and hour strike on 1, silvered tubes are signed “Tubular Bells Pat. Nov. 8, 1887, Walter H. Durfee, Prov. RI”. In a carved mahogany case has a filigree carved crest centered with a turned torch finial over a large seashell and serpentine filigree carved corbeled sides; base and body have a serpentine form with filigree carving, beveled glasses and a north wind face centered in the bottom panel. Original finish, repair to front corner of the cornice below the bonnet, repaired crest arms; movement missing 1 strike arm lever and 1 repaired. 107″ high x 27″ wide x 17″ deep.
