Fruit and flowers on splat, claw feet, pinapple carved finials, hand painted dial. Beautiful label, “Modern Improved Clocks Made and Sold by Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn.”, wooden works, weight driven, reverse painted glass tablet (has crack). Measures approx. 30″ tall x 17″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep.

Wooden works, weight driven, with hand painted dial, claw feet (some loss on feet). Very nice label, “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold in Plymouth, Connecticut by Eli Terry, Jun’r.”. Measures approx. 28 1/2″ tall x 17″ wide x 4″ deep. Many Eli Terry Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.

Likely Scottish. Second Quarter 19th Century. Dial marked “G.B. Watson. Airdrie.” Painted dial with its arch titled “Commerce” depicting a woman holding a Caduceus sitting on, and surrounded by,various barrels labeled: “Cotton”, “Sugar”, “Ashes”, and “Tobacco”. In the background is an early steamboat. 4 hand-painted medallions surrounding dial depict figures representing different continents. IncludesEurope (w/ Union Jack & Cornucopia), Africa (w/ Elephant ), America (w/ Head Dress, Cotton, Snake) , and Asia (Holding a Fan w/ Camel in background). Hood having hollowed pediment surmounted by urn finials overarched glazed-glass door. Case with central convex pendulum door flanked by two half columns. Base with crotch mahogany over carved skirt w/ bracket feet. Red, Gold, and Black Hand- Painted design on Pendulum.Missing second hand. Crack in base. Glass cracked. 7′ 6″ Tall.
