This classic Bracket clock was built around 1820 and shows the signature ÂF. Jones London on the clock face. The wooden casing is decorated with beautiful rose wood veneers and brass inlays. Furthermore, two brass heads of a lion are mounted on the sides and underneath the casing, four brass feet are attached. The enamel clock face shows Roman numbers and a minute index. The brass lunette frames cambered glass and can be opened and closed at the left side. The clockwork has an 8-day-movement and is made of massive brass. A fusee and a heavy pendulum also belong to the movement. The clock comes with its original key.
The Bracket clock is in a very good overall condition with only small traces of age and use. It was completely revised in 2010. It measures 34 cm in height, 23 cm in width and 14 cm in depth. The clock was flawlessly during a short-term test; but long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. (cbo)
