Lg. French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Lg. standing spelter figure of a winged male, An Allegory of Progress, the figure rises within the clouds with large wings and holds a torch up in his right hand; signed Bruchon and has foundry medallion for “Fabrication Francaise Paris, made in Paris France”. 32.25 in. high. The 35 in. gridiron pendulum swings from a post coming from the torch, has a crossed “X” suspension with 3 brass rods, blue spherical bob and 6.25 in. sphere at the top; the front of the top sphere has applied brass hour numerals and is the dial containing a round brass spring driven time only movement. In running condition, replaced minute hand; figure has a nice dark brown finish. 39.5 in. high. Weight: 24 lbs.
