Lg. French Figural Mantle Clock. Large spelter figure of a musical putti holding a horn with sheet music under his arm and at his feet, oval portrait plaque on the front of the base and highlighted with floral and filigree garland and ribbons, figure leans beside the clock tower; case has an overall dark brown original finish. 5 in. relief decorated metal dial with applied porcelain Roman hour numeral tabs; typical brass 8 day spring driven French movement signed “S. Marti”, half hour strike on a bell and is in good condition. Case has some surface tarnish at the joints, some solder repair to the mounts, figure is missing its left thumb and one foot is broken at the base but present. 26 in. high x 24 in. wide x 11 in. deep.
