A Good 19th century German hall clock, attributed to Lorenz Furtwangler & Sohne. 8-day weight driven time and strike movement, Cloisonne dial with Roman numerals, Oak center and cast Bronze inner bezels, embossed Brass pendulum bob and matching Cloisonne weights. Carved Oak open well case with high quality Bronze mounts throughout, features a shaped crest with Bronze finials and swags over molded cornice with Bronze frieze and masks an open dial with molded Brass bezel, flanked by full bodied Bronze Cherubs over the open well with arched backboard and applied bronze decoration, flanked by turned columns with Bronze caryatid bases and scrolled sides, on a paneled base with arched Bronze mounted crest, Bronzes allegorical panel flanked by turned columns with Bronze rings on a stepped plinth with gadrooned and molded transitions and simple block feet. Old finish with wear some repair and minor damage, running when cataloged. 102 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $8,000-12,000
