A late 19th century Lenzkirch wall clock. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement with two part porcelain dial, Roman numerals and molded Brass bezel, serial #249778 indicates a production date of 1872. Figured Walnut case with a single shaped door with carved detail featuring a winged cherub above flowers and foliate scrolls, circular dial glass and shaped lower, and incorporated thermometer and lower barometer marked "J. J. Wainwright & Co., Birmingham". Older refinishing with slight wear, dial hairlines and repair at one winding hole, running when cataloged. 33 1/4" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
