A late 19th century Lenzkirch wall clock. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement with two part porcelain dial, Roman numerals and molded Brass bezel, serial #249778 indicates a production date of 1872. Figured Walnut case with a single shaped door with carved detail featuring a winged cherub above flowers and foliate scrolls, circular dial glass and shaped lower, and incorporated thermometer and lower barometer marked "J. J. Wainwright & Co., Birmingham". Older refinishing with slight wear, dial hairlines and repair at one winding hole, running when cataloged. 33 1/4" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200

Circa 1890 American Admiral Fitzroy 8 day Wall Clock with 5.5″ Cast spun brass dial, Spring driven brass movement, Very unusual walnut wall clock with mercury stick barometer atmospheric hydrometer, spirit thermometer by Admiral Fitzroy. The barometer scale is on printed paper with instructions and advice. Case has two brass hands to mark barometric changes. Clock has an original 4 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, black spade hands; brass time only spring driven movement signed “E.N. Welch”, has a lever escapement, not running. Has a long mercury stick barometer with thermometer and original paper label along the back of the case for “Admiral Fitzroy’s Barometer”. In good overall condition. 45.5 in. long.
