Lenzkirch Majolica Mantle Clock. Majolica pottery case with fancy top and base, spiral turned columns with gilt metal mounts and urn finials at the top. 3.5 in. pottery dial has raised black Roman hour numerals, gilt brass hands and brass bezel with beveled crystal; brass 8 day spring driven movement has an half hour bell strike and is signed Lenzkirch. In very good condition, has minor hairlines on the underside of the top of the clock; top and base are impressed ÂA 1656 BCÂ. 18 in. high x 12 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.

Nice ornate fancy gilded bezel movement with double sunk face centered by exposed escapement, big colorful majolica glaze case measures 14.75 x 13 x 6 inches.

Condition

Very good noting some small flakes to the top finial and one foot, the dial is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs. Dial has nice shine.

Condition

Very good, one minor glaze loss, not a chip, to one small side scroll above the 10 position, no other chips, cracks, repairs, rubs, lines, or wear. Nice shine to case and dial.
