A late 19th century Lenzkirch Digital Freischwinger wall clock. The digital or "flip" clock was conceived by the Austrian inventor and engineer Josef Pallweber in 1890 and produced by the world-renowned Lenzkirch Clock Factory between 1893-1894. This clock features an 8-day time only movement with Silvered dial and Gilded Bronze Apollo mask decoration and original cast two-tone pendulum, serial # 1 Million 2879 (1893). Walnut case with shaped crown and carved shell finial, single door with square glass and turned pilasters over a shaped drop with turned rail and applied bosses. Older finish with minor wear, some dial discoloration, running when cataloged. 35 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE 2,000-3,000
