A late 19th century Lenzkirch bracket clock, retailed by Swinden & Sons, Birmingham (England). 8-day time and strike movement with Silvered dial and brass chapter ring with Arabic numerals, quarter hour "Bim-Bam" striking on three gongs. Serial #1 Million, 241841 indicates a date of 1899. Oak case with molded Pagoda top, above a single door with carved detail and flat, fluted columns on a molded base with bracket feet. Old finish with good color and slight wear, minor damage, running when cataloged. 21 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
