French Figural Marble & Bronze Mantle Clock. Bronze seated figure of a winged putti holding a large drum hanging from a ribbon, the drum rests on his left hip and in the right hand holds a hammer to beat the drum; has a beautiful gilt finish, on a white marble base with applied leafy filigree decorations and stands on turned feet. The dial and movement are contained in the drum, the porcelain dial measures 3.5 in. dia. With painted hour numbers and fancy gilt pierced hands; has a typical, round, brass, spring driven movement signed Samuel Marti, a half hour countwheel strike mechanism and strikes on a steel bell. 12 in. high.

Has a white marble base with gilt bronze mounts & feet, pr. of figural winged maiden sphinxes sit opposite facing on raised plinths and hold the timepiece up between their wings, a figural nude maiden is seated on top leaning back and viewing herself in a hand mirror. 4.5 in. porcelain dial with black hour numbers, fancy gilt pierced hands and hinged door bezel with beveled convex glass; bras 8 day spring driven French movement signed ÂVincenti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell and a brass pendulum bob with maidenÂs head mount on the front. Bell is replaced, rear door is broken, marble has some edge chips, front mounted plaque is missing 2 ends and the dial has hairlines and a few chips around the edge. 16 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.

Depicted seated and holding the tablet of the Commandments. “p4A.com note: this bronze sculpture was likely produced by the Barbedienne Foundry in Paris. The sculpture is 18” tall. Circa 1838-1952.  The clock’s dimensions are 13.5 W x 8.5 H x 7 L. SELLING THE CLOCK AS IS! We are not sure if it works or not!

Dorant, St. Jean dÂAngleyÂ, round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed S. Marti, has an half hour bell strike. Clock is missing bell and pendulum, female figure is missing her castanets, front door bezel missing its crystal; movement is in very nice overall condition, running and striking. 20 in. high x 14 in. wide x 5.25 in. deep. The figure on top depicts an allegorical scene of music, a seated woman wearing a long robe holds a harp in her lap, beside her is a winged putti, seated and leaning back in a playful pose, he is playing a triangle; the statue is signed Salmson 1857. The base has 8 copper mounts with repousse portraits, has fancy scrolling mounts and lions paw front feet. 3.5 in countersunk dial has Roman hour numerals on the chapter ring, open trefoil hands and exposed Brocot escapement. Typical round French brass movement signed LÂMarti. 23 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9 in. deep
