Leon Bureau Figural Bronze Clock – Vie Una Bestia. Standing French bronze figure of a boy holding the large spherical timepiece over his head; the figure has a nice medium light brown patina, signed L. Bureau and plaque on the front reads “Vie Una Bestia”. The sphere has a beautiful blue finish, studded with gilt brass stars allover and has applied Roman hour numerals on the front and gilt arrow hands forming the clock dial; round French brass spring driven 8 day movement has a platform cylinder escapement with half hour strike on a bell, signed L’ Marti & Cie. Missing bell, in running condition. 17.25 in. high.
