Leon Bureau Figural Bronze Clock – Vie Una Bestia. Standing French bronze figure of a boy holding the large spherical timepiece over his head; the figure has a nice medium light brown patina, signed L. Bureau and plaque on the front reads ÂVie Una BestiaÂ. The sphere has a beautiful blue finish, studded with gilt brass stars allover and has applied Roman hour numerals on the front and gilt arrow hands forming the clock dial; round French brass spring driven 8 day movement has a platform cylinder escapement with half hour strike on a bell, signed LÂ Marti & Cie. Missing bell, in running condition. 17.25 in. high.

French Figural Clock has a marble base which is mounted with intricate pierced gilt bronze floral strands of garland and bowed ribbons; standing gilt bronze nude female figures “The 3 Graces” are holding up a 6 inch sphere with a seated bronze putti finial that is holding a torch and arrow floating in the clouds, (arrow missing its feathers). The dial has applied brass roman hour numerals, hands that depict a dragon, and brass mounted star highlights around the sphere, (1 missing). The French round brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed Made in France, Medaille D’Argent 1855, and has a half hour strike on bell. Dimensions: 26 in. high x 8 in. wide.

Marble & Bronze Eagle Ball Mantle Clock. Bronze figure of an eagle with wings spread over 4.5 in. dia. bronze sphere and on a stepped green marble base with bronze mounts. The front of the sphere is the clock dial with applied gilt brass Roman hour numerals and gilt snake hands; round brass spring driven time only movement with cylinder escapement. A beautiful and unusual clock in very nice condition. 20 in. high x 12 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep. Weight: 45.5 lbs.

Turned white marble base on 3 gilt bronze filigree decorated feet with applied pierced filigree and beaded trim; 3 figural winged putti stand on the base and raise a 4.5″ diameter sphere between them. The sphere has applied pierced brass Roman hour numerals forming the clock dial which is signed “R. Muhr Freres, Rue De College une Passage de la Bourse, Charleroi” and has gilt brass arrow hands; round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Just” has a platform lever escapement and an half hour strike on a bell. Good overall condition, running and striking. 14.25″ high x 7″ diameter. Weight: 13.75 lbs.

The sphere acts as the clock dial with applied brass Roman hour numerals and swirling pierced gilt filigree hands; has a round brass, spring driven movement, cylinder escapement, count wheel half hour strike mechanism with steel bell. In good running condition, has an excellent original finish, figure signed Auguste Moreau. 17 in. high.
