John Wood Mahogany Tall Case Clock. Brass dial has 10 in. chapter ring with black incised Roman hour numerals and Arabic 5 minute markers, signed John Wood, Philadelphia, sub seconds dial and 31 day sub calendar dial, has gilt pierced spandrels, moon phase dial and fancy pierced hands (repainted); quality brass, weight driven movement has drop hammer strike, iron weights, brass pulley, brass covered pendulum bob stamped V.R. Moyer with steel stick (no suspension spring). In a mahogany case, bonnet has broken arch crest with rosettes and flame finials, turned columns, large one board door having nice grain. 94 in. high
