J.C. Brown Rosewood Cottage Clock: Original metal dial with signature and location. Also the lower plate has a portrait of J.C.. Brown. 8 day time and gong strike. There is a good interior label and it has an ivory door handle.
(Dial is chipped at the screw holes, the back board has a rodent hole on the lower right corner.)

A mid 19th C. American painted and nacre inlay wood front rectangular shelf clock, 17 1/2″ X 12 1/2″, featuring an eight day spring driven clockworks, a dial in block script “J. C. Brown, Bristol, Ct, U.S.” but with a pasted interior label identifying the “Forrestville Clock Company” as the maker. The reverse painted portrait of J. C. Brown in the lower sectional, is a later replacement.
