Japy Freres French Dore & Green Alabaster Clock: the time with half hour bell striking movement is by Japy Freres and dated 1855. The 4″ dial is part of the alabaster front and has gilt metal Roman numerals. The case is topped with a winged cherub leaning on a cloth draped column.
(There is a small alabaster chip on one upper left corner. The cherub’s wing looks as if it has been reattached and recolored. The strike hammer needs adjusted to contact properly.)
