Japy Freres French Bronze Mantle Clock. 4 in. bronze dial with a copper tone, has incised Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt hands and brass bezel with beveled door glass; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed Japy Freres and has an half hour strike on a steel bell. In a bronze case with figural robed maiden side columns in front of scrolling corbels and gilt highlights. Case has a replaced top finial and a lacquered finish. 17 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.

Japy Freres & Cie French Bronze & Marble Clock: made in 2 pieces, the marble base is separate. The time and half hour bell striking movement is signed Japy Freres & Cie, Jx Deniere-1856. The 4 1/4″ porcelain dial is also signed Deniere Ft De Bronzes- A Paris. The case has a woman, books and scientific instruments on it.
(The dial has chips at the 60 minute mark and the right hand key slot.)

Mulder Lahaye, 8-day, brass bell strike movement, neoclassical motif features angels with lyre, fully articulated, full cast & sculpture of angel finial, cast classical mounts & side panels, case rests on suppressed ball feet, excellent condition. Japy Freres French Dore Romantic Clock: Depicting a man and woman in period clothing hugging each other; the base has musical instruments, sheet music, scrolls and an artist’s palette with an Acanthus leaf border above it. Decorated porcelain dial with Arabic numbers with a 60 minute outer ring. Marked works; has key and pendulum.

Japy Freres French Dore & Green Alabaster Clock: the time with half hour bell striking movement is by Japy Freres and dated 1855. The 4″ dial is part of the alabaster front and has gilt metal Roman numerals. The case is topped with a winged cherub leaning on a cloth draped column.
(There is a small alabaster chip on one upper left corner. The cherub’s wing looks as if it has been reattached and recolored. The strike hammer needs adjusted to contact properly.)
