Japy Freres 1855 Figural Mantel Clock: The gilt metal figure of a tired looking musician rests on the drum shaped clock case with other musical instruments behind her. The whole thing is mounted on a white marble base. The movement is numbered 923 and there is a porcelain dial. The chair the musician is sitting on is marked “9PH MOUREY”.

The clock is running and striking at this time.

(The dial has a hairline between the 5 & 6.)

Japy Freres 1855 Portico Clock, Ornate Decoration: With half hour bell strike movement and a porcelain dial marked “Japy Freres”. Also marked “PRE LEMASSON – Paris 3827”. The ebonized wood case has a gridiron pendulum with a female mask on the ball. There also added decorations that are similar to one another and a bronze end caps for the columns.

(Although the clock runs, the strike will not activate.)

Description: Antique French Japy Freres Brass Shelf Clock: T&S with porcelain cartouche numerals, movement signed “Japy Freres” and “G.F.” in an oval. In a brass case with lady mask, floral cornucopia, urn top and other decoration. The pendulum is with the clock. Not tested.
