Japy Freres Bronze Figural Mantle Clock. Beautiful bronze case with 2 figural winged putti playfully flying over a wine cask with grapevine filigree, ribbons and 2 lizards on the ground; stands on an oak platform base. The front of the barrel is the clock dial with beaded brass bezel having a beveled crystal; applied porcelain Roman hour numerals and pierced gilt hands; typical brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy FreresÂ has an half hour strike on a bell. In good running condition, has a nice medium brown original patina on a detailed casting. 16 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Relief cast bronze case in the form of a bell with handle on top, filigree borders around the circumference with Latin script and panels with figural muses, stands on turned feet. 3.5 in. brass dial with porcelain inserts, pierced trefoil hands; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy FreresÂ has an half hour strike on a coiled gong. In good overall condition, has damage to one of the hour porcelain tags. 11.25 in. high x 8.25 in. dia.

In a bronze case with figural robed maiden side columns in front of scrolling corbels and gilt highlights. Case has a replaced top finial and a lacquered finish. 17 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.

Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia”, 8-day, circular brass movement, well executed French bronze mantle clock with hand painted cobalt blue neoclassical scrollwork tile inserts with illegible signature on rear, a very handsome & well made clock, suitable for a formal setting, small tile on clock top cracked, otherwise excellent condition with good patina. Height 14 1/2″.

In a heavy dore bronze case with standing figures on the corners, swirling leaf borders and a double figural handle; beveled glasses on 4 sides and the top.
