J.J. Beals Figure Eight Wall Regulator. Original 12 in. painted metal dial signed ÂJ.J. Beals, 16 Hanover St., BostonÂ, has black Roman hour numerals and original blued diamond hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven time only movement, unsigned, has a brass pulley, iron banjo style weight and long gilt painted wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob. Rosewood grained case has a flanged hinged upper and lower door bezel with original reverse black & gilt painted throat glass and replaced lower tablet. Clock is in nice condition with a good original finish, pendulum has a broken suspension spring. 33 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Wood pendulum stick with gold leaf, original damaskeened brass bob and lock down hardware on weight baffle. Walnut figure 8 case in original finish with no noted losses, original reverse painted black and gold leaf throat & door glasses, some losses to lower glass. Inside the door has a label from E. Howard & Co. with directions for “putting up the clock”. 37 in. high.

In walnut figure 8 style case with scroll carved crests and original reverse painted throat and door glass, enhanced original finish. 58 in. high x 19 in. wide x 7.25 in. deep.

Boston; brass weight driven time only movement has a recoil escapement, brass pulley, iron No. 2 weight, long gilt wood pendulum stick and brass covered bob, movement signed E. Howard, Boston. In a walnut, figure eight case with carved crests, reverse painted throat and lower glasses and black painted weight baffle. Case is refinished, glasses are repainted and the dial has inpainting and a varnished overcoat. 50 in. high x 17 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
