Gilt brass case with hinged handle on top, beveled glass on the front, sides, rear door and top exposing the escapement, has a 2 in. porcelain dial signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co.Â black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and sub alarm dial below; brass 8 day spring driven movement has a half hour strike on a blued coiled gong, separate hammer for alarm strike, hour repeater button on top of the case and a platform lever escapement, movement signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co., PhiadelphiaÂ & ÂDuverdrey & Bloquel, France, (12) Twelve JewelsÂ. In beautiful condition, running and striking. 5.5 in. high x 3.75 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.

Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals, red 5 minute numbers and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, in good running condition, though the alarm spring is broken, alarm is not working. 8 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes on a single coiled gong. Switch on the bottom of the case for silent, hour and quarter hour strike. All appears to be running, strikes properly and balance has good brisk motion; some tarnish to the case.

Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever & platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, balance swings briskly and gong strikes, thought the movement is not running. 7.5 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.
