Caldwell Brass Mantle Clock. 4 in. replaced paper dial with black hour numerals with fancy pierced brass center disc, brass bezel and hinged door with crystal; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres and ÂJ.E. Caldwell, PhiladelphiaÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell. In a polished brass case with arched top, applied maidenÂs head and filigree and 3 column side clusters. Nice condition and running. 12 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5.75 in. deep. Weight: 15.25 lbs.

Gilt brass case with hinged handle on top, beveled glass on the front, sides, rear door and top exposing the escapement, has a 2 in. porcelain dial signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co. black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and sub alarm dial below; brass 8 day spring driven movement has a half hour strike on a blued coiled gong, separate hammer for alarm strike, hour repeater button on top of the case and a platform lever escapement, movement signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co., Phiadelphia & ÂDuverdrey & Bloquel, France, (12) Twelve JewelsÂ. In beautiful condition, running and striking. 5.5 in. high x 3.75 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.

Caldwell & Co.Â; typical round brass spring driven 8 day movement signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co., PhiladelphiaÂ, has an half hour strike on a coiled gong. In a brass case with engraved pierced gilt brass filigree laid over black metal panels and behind beveled glass, the rear door has frosted beveled glass and the case stands on leafy feet. In good overall condition, has some minor chipping to the left side panel and the rear door. 11.25 in. high x 6.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
