J.C. Brown Ripple Front Beehive Mantle Clock. 4.5 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals and good period hands, signed J.C. Brown Forestville, Ct. US.; brass spring driven movement has an hour strike on a coiled gong and brass covered pendulum bob, movement signed J.C. Brown, Forestville, Conn. and partial paper label in the back of the case. In a rosewood beehive case with ripple carved front and reverse painted tablet. In good condition with a clean original finish, has a minor repair to the upper bezel beside the door hinge. 15.5 in. high x 9 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

J.C. Brown Ripple Front Beehive Clock: 8 day time with hourly gong strike. Unmarked metal dial 5 1/2″ wide. The interior label states- Made by E.N. Welch at the Old Establishment and Late J.C. Brown.
(The dial is crazed; on the top joint there is a bit of veneer loss, on the back edge.)
