Ithaca No. 6 Library Calendar Clock. Double dial calendar clock has a 6 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, open center with exposed alarm indicator disc and black hands; lower 8 in. calendar dial has 31 date Arabic numbers, day and month apertures and crescent cutout exposing the pendulum bob, calendar dial signed H.B. Horton Patents – April 18, 1885 – Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. 8 Day, spring driven, brass movement made by E.N. Welch for the Ithaca Clock Co. has count wheel strike, coiled gong, alarm mechanism with iron bell and complete original lower calendar mechanism. In a hanging walnut case with crest and turned finial, raised panels, fancy lower bracket and silvered bezels, the pendulum door has minor repairs and the finial has a small chip at the tip. Case has its original finish and is in good condition; this clock is originally a shelf model with a custom lower bracket (not original), the crest pieces are reproductions signed by Joel Warren (formerly of the Ithaca Clock Museum).
