Ingraham Ionic Rosewood Wall Clock with J.K. Seems Patented Calendar Dial. Original 10 in. painted metal dial by J.K. Seem of Canton, PA, patented Jan. 7, 1868, has black painted Roman hour numerals, open center with pin in the back of the hour hand which engages the perpetual date and day discs of the calendar, the month disc is hand operated. The clock is a typical “Ionic” model with 8 day, brass, spring driven movement, hour strike on a coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob, movement signed E. Ingraham, Bristol, Conn, original paper label in the back of the rosewood figure 8 style case and reverse painted lower door glass. Lower door glass is original with some minor flaking and over-painted with black; original finish, running condition. 21.5 in. high x 13.5 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
