Howard & Davis No. 2 weight driven banjo clock has a 10-inch dial signed “Howard & Davis, Boston,” with black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; brass 8-day weight driven time only movement signed “Howard & Davis, Boston” with recoil escapement, long wooden pendulum stick with brass covered bob and a solid brass pulley. In a grained rosewood banjo style case which has been cleaned, reverse painted black and gold leaf tablet and throat glass. The movement is running. Dimensions: 43.5 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep. Weight: 36.80 lbs.

Circa 1850 American Unsigned 8 Day Wall Clock with 7″ Nicely restored through out, 8 Day weight driven brass movement, Very good case with mahogany turned bezel and half round figured mahogany molding with gilded reverse painted tablets in a typical Howard style.
