A 19th century Howard "No. 4" model Banjo clock. 8-day weight driven time only movement with a painted metal dial and Roman numerals marked "E. Howard & Co., Boston". Shaped Cherry case with "Rosewood" grain paint, reverse painted throat and lower door glass. Restored finish with some wear, dial craquelure and discoloration, repaired pendulum stick, replaced weight baffle, running when cataloged. 31 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500

Partial label in bottom of case. Double signed “E. Howard & Co, Boston” on both movement and dial. Original finish with some wear, lacks 2/3 of bottom board in case. 32″ high.
