Description
A nice example in unusual cherry case, original dial measures exactly 7.5 inches diameter, 29 x 10 x 4 inches. Pendulum and weight present, original moon hands, restored throat and lower tablet, very minor refurbishing to upper wood bezel door, very good overall.

Description
Howard No.4 Banjo Clock: time only weight driven with a 7″ dial. The case is stained wood. The glass looks original.
(Not running properly; the pendulum scrapes on the weight’s metal cover. The case has minor flaws, dents and dings. The dial has some staining.)

E. Howard No. 4 Banjo Clock. 8 in. painted metal dial signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has black Roman hour numerals and black open moon hands. Brass 8 day weight driven movement signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, recoil escapement, iron No. 4 weight, brass pendulum bob with wood stick and lockdown hardware on the wood weight baffle. Rosewood grained banjo style case has original black and gold reverse painted throat glass and tablet in good condition, original case finish; relined numerals and signature on the dial. 32 in. High x 13.5 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight 18 lbs.
